<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for a headlight using a discharge lamp having a new structure without damaging a power feed line even in the case of plunger drive. <P>SOLUTION: (a) This light source A is composed of: the discharge lamp 1; a drive mechanism part 2; a base member 3; and a flexible power feed member 4. The light source is characterized by that (b) a housing space S for the flexible power feed member 4 formed in the base member 3 is expanded to the power feed member insertion side of the drive mechanism part 2; (c) in the housing space S of the base member 3, the flexible power feed member 4 is housed in a circular form in accordance with the inside of the housing space S; (d) a continuing part 8 continuing to the circular part 7 of the flexible power feed member 4 is inserted into a through-hole 9 formed in the drive mechanism part 2 and connected to the discharge lamp 1 on the extraction side 10b of the through-hole 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
