<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Japanese drum capable of coping with wear of a drum mouth resulting from edge pounding. <P>SOLUTION: Marginal material consisting of material harder than a cylinder material is attached to the drum mouth of the Japanese drum. It is desirable that the marginal material can be replaced.
