<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus for providing musical elements to a measuring sound for sound field correction, so as to allow a user listening to the measuring sound to be freed from uncomfortable listening and increase a degree of entertainment. <P>SOLUTION: A sound element is generated by synthesizing, from a base sound, a frequency component of a sinusoidal wave one octave higher than the base sound, which is a frequency component of one sinusoidal wave with an integer multiple of periods thereof matching a sample count N represented by a power of 2. Sound elements having a frequency serving as a musical scale in a temperament are selected from the sound elements generated in this way. The selected sound element is outputted in a predetermined pattern of time and musical scale, so that a measuring sound is outputted in a melody-like fashion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
