<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label inspection apparatus and a label issuing apparatus capable of easily inspecting whether or not a label is applied to goods. <P>SOLUTION: When a sensor 121 is turned ON, an operation for reading a serial number from RF-ID tag 160 applied to a label 150 of goods 10 is carried out in a time period ranging from a time when the sensor 121 is turned ON to a time when a predetermined time elapses. Then, when the serial number can be read in accurately, it is determined that the label 150 is stuck accurately to the goods 10. In turn, when the serial number cannot be read, it is determined that the label 150 is not accurately stuck to the goods, or an RF-ID tag 160 does not function normally.
