<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus capable of obtaining a uniform image with little unevenness and an image in which flicker, that is time unevenness, is few by following an input when starting time variations of input frame-unit image information and jitter are included. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises; a light source unit part 34 in which a plurality of LEDs 18 with one body structure for emitting an illumination light are arranged on circumference and which sequentially turns on each LED 18; a spacial modulation element 46 which is modulated according to the input frame-unit image information; a light guide rod member 12 which leads illumination light emitted by the LEDs 18 which are sequentially turned on, to the spacial modulation element 46 by synchronizing with a turn-on timing of the plurality of LEDs 18 and by moving relatively with the plurality of LEDs 18; and a read-out timing controller 42 for controlling a frame timing of the image information which is modulated by the spacial modulation element 46. The read-out timing controller 42 controls the frame timing of the image information which is modulated by the spacial modulation element 46 by synchronizing with a relative moving timing of the plurality of LEDs 18 and the light guide rod member 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
