DIELECTRIC RESONATOR AND DIELECTRIC BAND-PASS FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric band-pass filter capable of easily adjusting filter characteristics. SOLUTION: A dielectric resonator 30 is formed in a cylindrical shape by mounting holes 32 penetrated to both upper and lower ends at the center of the top face of a dielectric resonating element 31, and metallic films are formed on a surface excepting the top face. Two opposed-plate electrodes 35 are mounted so as to be mutually opposed to the opening surface of the dielectric resonating element 31 while the metallic films 33a are formed so as to be extended from the insides of the holes 32 to the places of the mounting of the opposed-plate electrodes 35. The two dielectric resonators 30 are housed so that the opposed-plate electrodes 35 are faced oppositely in a box body 41 for the dielectric band-pass filter. The opposed-plate electrodes 35 are fitted in the box body 41 to input-output terminals 42a and 42b arranged on both sides of the box body 41. An electromagnetic-field coupling quantity between each opposed-plate electrode 35 is adjusted by an insertion length so that coupling adjusting bars 43a to 43c can be inserted between each opposed-plate electrode 35.
