PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper for loudspeaker which employ woven cloth having flexibility and strength each of which is independent of the axial direction of fibers and thus prevent the occurrence of rolling and improve sound quality, even when a force of large amplitude is exerted to the damper, and to provide the loudspeaker. SOLUTION: The damper 40 for supporting the vibration system of the loudspeaker is formed into a corrugation form by impregnating tetraaxially woven fabric 41 comprising four fibers 43, 44, 45, 46 woven, at mutually an angular difference of about 45 degrees with thermosetting resin.
