PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of identifying an object in a taken image at a high accuracy. SOLUTION: The image processor 1 for identifying the attributes of an object in a taken image comprises an imaging means 3, position detecting means 2, 10 for detecting the present position of the imaging means 3, a means 11 for holding a map having attribute data at each position on the map, a means 12 for translating the map of the present position detected by the position detecting means onto the image plane of the taken image or the image taken by the imaging means onto the map of the present position, a means 13 for dividing the image taken by the imaging means into a plurality of regions, and a means 14 for identifying the attributes of each region in the taken image after obtaining the attributes of the divided regions by the region dividing means from attribute data at each position on the map of the present position.
