PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new anti-SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) viral agent and a new anti-sindbis viral agent carrying out incorporation in a resin material, formulation in a coating composition, spraying or application, etc. SOLUTION: Both the anti-SARS viral agent and the anti-sindbis viral agent comprise a thiosulfato complex salt of silver as an active ingredient. The thiosulfato complex salt of the silver dissolved in a solvent or supported on a porous carrier, an eluate, etc., obtained by dipping the porous carrier supporting the thiosulfato complex salt of the silver dipped in the solvent and eluting the thiosulfato complex salt of the silver from the porous carrier into the solvent are considered as specific forms of the anti-SARS viral agent and the anti-sindbis viral agent.
