PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket which allows uniform seal stresses to be obtained around the fluid holes even if the gasket is pressure-contacted through the use of the fastening bolt when a fastening bolt is disposed to pressure-contact the gasket around the fluid holes such as the combustion chamber hole, a water hole and an oil hole. SOLUTION: The ratio of the section area H×W1 of the seal material 6 to the section area of the concave groove 5 in the position where the bolts are disposed is smaller than the ratio of the section area H×W2 of the seal material 6 to the section area of the concave groove 5 in the position where no bolt is disposed. This causes the alleviation of fastening force by the seal material 6 to be limited in the position where the bolts are disposed so that the reduction in a seal stress is blocked, while, in the position where the bolt is not disposed, the seal material 6 compressed by the fastening force follows the deformation of the member due to the fastening force so as to achieve a successful action effect wherein the reduction in the seal stress is blocked.
