PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black and white heat developable photosensitive material having high image quality and excellent storage stability; a method for manufacturing the same; and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The black and white heat developable photosensitive material has, on at least one surface of a support, an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder, wherein the photosensitive silver halide contains a spectral sensitizing dye and the non-photosensitive organic silver salt contains at least one selected from silver salts of azole compounds and silver salts of mercapto compounds and also contains an immobilizing agent.
