PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an agricultural net easily assimilable to soil, high in water-absorbing/holding ability, and emitting no toxic gas even if incinerated. SOLUTION: This agricultural net is constituted of paper string made of base paper that is made from at least one kind of pulp selected from coniferous pulp, Manila hemp pulp, sisal pulp, flax pulp, cotton pulp, linter pulp, hemp pulp, jute pulp, paper birch pulp, Kozo pulp, ganpi(clover-like bush) pulp, lint pulp, bamboo pulp, kenaf pulp and bagasse pulp; wherein it is preferable that the base paper be 20-80 g/m<SP>2</SP>in basis weight and produced using a cylinder machine.
