A tablet containing a branched chain amino acid that can be produced without compression molding failures; and a process for producing the same. There is provided a tablet comprising a branched chain amino acid and reduced palatinose. Further, there is provided a process for producing a tablet containing a branched chain amino acid, characterized in that a mixture containing a branched chain amino acid and reduced palatinose is compression molded by direct tableting technique. Still further, there is provided a process for producing a tablet containing a branched chain amino acid, characterized by including the step of granulating a mixture containing a branched chain amino acid and reduced palatinose and the subsequent step of compression molding.
