A part (6) forming a grease reservoir is provided on the inner (1) or outer (2) race of the bearing, and acts as a non-rotating race (1,2) with a grease reservoir within. A gap forming member (7) is provided on the non-rotating race, communicating from the reservoir to the race surface. The gap has a size that is such that a base oil of the grease is fed to the running surface of the non-rotating race as a result of capillary action of a thickener in the grease. Protrusions (16) are spaced apart around the external surface of the member forming the gap, for making contact with the peripheral surface of the non-rotating race.
