An operation mode setting data application device (400) formed by a pull-up resistor or a pull-down resistor in accordance with the operation mode is connected to a bus (300). Since the output of the operation mode setting data application device (400) becomes valid only when the other device connected to the bus (300) is in the high impedance state, this output is used for setting the operation mode.
