The invention relates to spray drying devices for producing dried solid materials in the form of a powder from initial materials such as solutions, emulsions and suspensions in varies industrial sectors. The inventive method consists in selecting, according to a design formula, the tangent value of an angle psi for introducing an agent into the cavity (6) of a chamber (1) through each slot gap taking into consideration a device size and a dispersible particle diameter, in determining a required number of plates arranged on the side surface of the drying chamber (1) and the height of the slot gap between the adjacent plates according to the tangent value of the angle psi taking into account the drying chamber perimeter, wherein said angle psi is disposed between the velocity vector of a drying agent stream penetrating into the slot gap (3) and a line tangent to the generatrix to the side surface of the drying chamber (1) where the stream is introduced. |
