METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CHIP RESISTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a small-sized chip resistor having highly accurate rear-surface electrodes.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the chip resistor includes a step of forming resists 9 for rear-surface electrodes on the rear surface of a sheet-like substrate 1 before performing a step of obtaining a strip type substrate 10. In a step of forming the rear-surface electrodes 11 and end-face electrodes 12 on the rear surface side of the strip type substrate 10, the rear-surface electrodes 11 are formed by peeling the resists 9 for rear-surface electrodes after films composed of a rear-surface electrode material are formed on the rear surface of the strip type substrate 10 and the resists 9 for rear-surface electrodes.
