<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device which can automatically perform setting in which the degree of the taste and interest of a user is reflected when keyword videotape recording is reserved. <P>SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device is characterized in that the degree of the interest of the user to each keyword is calculated by checking the reproduction history information of the user to a program whose video recording has been performed and whether the key word inputted or specified by the user in advance exists in the program information of the program whose videotape recording has been performed or not, and the degree of the taste of the user to a program to which automatic video recording is performed is predicted from the calculated degree of interest of the user and the searched result of the keyword in the program information becoming the object of the automatic video recording, and recording quality at the time of the automatic video recording is automatically determined based on the degree of the taste. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
