<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication seal which is difficult to be forged and allows truth checking or a discrimination process to be mechanically performed. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic authentication seal 1 laminates a sheetlike authenticating resonator circuit 3 composed of a metal thin film coil pattern and a metal thin film capacitor pattern on the back of an authentication seal 2. An electronic authentication seal reader 11 sends a radio wave of the same frequency as the resonation frequency of the authenticating resonator circuit 3, to radiate a radio waves of the same frequency as a sending wave of the seal reader 11 from the electronic authentication seal. The seal reader 11 receives the radio wave radiated from the electronic authentication seal 1, and a controller 14 recognizes the received radio wave. If it receives the radio wave of a frequency different from the radio wave sent from the seal reader 11, or no answer to the radio wave, this indicates an authentication seal pasted to an object 10 under authenticating is not a proper authentication seal, thus surely deciding the truth of the authentication seal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
