PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replenishing method of a development replenisher in an automatic developing apparatus of a photosensitive lithographic printing plate by which changes in the sensitivity of a developing solution are suppressed to the minimum against changes in the development conditions of a developer containing an electrolyte and a development inhibitor while the developing unit in the automatic developing apparatus is made to be a simple and inexpensive constitution in a conductivity standard replenishing system. SOLUTION: The method for replenishing a development replenisher in an automatic developing apparatus of a photosensitive lithographic printing plate is carried by developing a large number of exposed photosensitive lithographic printing plates with a developing solution containing an electrolyte and a development inhibitor while keeping the activity of the developing solution constant. The conductivity of the developing solution is measured, and the measured conductivity of the developing solution is compared with a preliminarily determined conductivity standard value. If the conductivity of the developing solution is lower than the conductivity standard value, the developing solution is replenished with a development replenisher having a higher concentration of the development inhibitor than that of the developing solution.
