PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission chain using first and second pins having rolling contact with each other, achieving improved allowable transmission load and durability by putting only one of the pins in contact with a pulley when transmitting power. SOLUTION: A shorter link 21 and a longer link 22 are connected to each other using the first and second pins 3, 4 corresponding to each other. The second pin 4 is formed of carburized steel and has a surface layer having a Rockwell hardness HRC of 58 or greater and an internal layer having a Rockwell hardness HRC of 35 or greater but 50 or smaller. Thus, the second pin 4 attains a thinner shape while securing its strength and durability. As a result, the first and second pins 3, 4 are provided more at shorter connection pitches P1, P2, and the larger number of first pins 3 have contact with a sheave face at a time to greatly improve the allowable transmission load.
