PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cosmetic effectively utilizing a bean-curd refuse extract which is an active ingredient recovered from the bean-curd refuse that is a food waste. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by regulating the solid concentration of the bean-curd refuse extract which is the active ingredient taken out by carrying a hot-pressing treatment or an enzyme treatment of the bean-curd refuse or a combination thereof to 1-22% and formulating the resultant regulated bean-curd extract in an amount within the range of 1-35% based on a cosmetic base. Furthermore, besides the bean-curd refuse extract, a residue prepared by carrying out the hot-pressing treatment and then the enzyme treatment of the bean-curd refuse or carrying out the enzyme treatment without carrying out the hot-pressing treatment and further solid-liquid separation is subjected to a finely dividing treatment.
