PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection management system for vehicles capable of informing the operator of the sequence to execute the inspecting items distinctly. SOLUTION: The inspection management system for vehicles is composed of a server 2 furnished with an inspection master database to store the inspection specification information of different components for each car manufactured and a portable terminal unit 5 for inspection to perform radio communication with the server via LAN 1, wherein the portable terminal unit 5 for inspection displays the inspecting items to be executed next among the inspecting item data displayed on a display 54 in such a way as with the brightness heightened, displays the inspecting items with the brightness sunk when the inspecting results of the inspecting items with the brightness heightened is fed, and then displays the inspecting items to be executed next with the brightness heightened.
