PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wash a large quantity of dishes by reducing the height of a washing pump without enlarging the shape of a washer body. SOLUTION: In the dishwasher, the rotation shaft 7 of an impeller 6 of the centrifugal type washing pump 5 and the rotation shaft 7 of a motor 8 are concentric with each other and structured nearly in the vertical direction, and a suction passage 9 of the washing pump 9 is disposed between the washing pump 5 and the motor 8 to drive the washing pump 5.
