The device has a wall unit (1) with number of connections fastened to a building wall. Base and aligning units (3, 4) are arranged between the wall unit and a covering unit, where the wall unit and the covering unit are arranged relative to one another. The base unit is firmly connected with the wall unit by a welded joint. The aligning unit is detachably connected with the base unit by bolts (5, 6). An independent claim is also included for a system for supporting a glass plate at a building wall.
