<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chronograph having high functional safety, while having a minimized number of simple components and requiring only a slight constituting space. <P>SOLUTION: A traveling hand mechanism has a common operating element for a second traveling hand and a minute traveling hand, and a pinion 18 can be controlled so as to be engagingly lockable with and releasable from one locking cutout 34 of locking cutouts 34, distributed uniformly and arranged on the whole circumference of a minute ticking hand wheel 30 by the operating element. A minute ticking hand tube of the minute traveling hand is connected to the minute ticking hand wheel 30, and the number of the locking cutouts 34 corresponds to the number of steps of a minute counter hand per rotation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
