<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly viscous fluid container having a squeezing spout base that can be uniformly and firmly affixed to a pouch without causing the application of pressure thereto to spread an adhesive layer irregularly, beyond the flange, or into a tubular section in the center of the flange, and to provide a container assembling method. <P>SOLUTION: The container stores a highly viscous fluid such as an adhesive and is used for squeezing the fluid, a required amount each time, with a squeezing device. The container comprises the pouch obtained by forming a film material into a bag, and the squeeze spout attached to one end of the pouch. The squeeze spout has the squeeze spout substrate in which the flange to be affixed to the pouch is formed at one end of a tubular section having on its peripheral face a male screw. The squeeze spout also has a squeeze nozzle in which a female screw spirally engageable with the male screw is formed on the internal circumferential face of the basal end of a conical tube. Grooves are formed in a face of the flange of the squeeze spout substrate, which face is to be affixed to the pouch.
