<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ID tag (1) that allows preventing the reading and writing of invalid data by means of a small-scale system configuration; a reader/writer (2 or 3) for the ID tag (1); and an ID tag authentication system. <P>SOLUTION: The ID tag (1) comprises a first memory area (101) for storing data; an authentication confirming part (105) for authenticating the reader/writer (2 or 3); and a control part (103) for controlling the first memory area (101) and the authentication confirming part (105). The authentication confirming part (105) sends an authentication request signal to the reader/writer (2 or 3), and permits the reader/writer (2 or 3) to access the first memory area (101) only if authentication data received from the reader/writer (2 or 3) in response to the sending of the authentication request signal is true. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
