<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information storage medium and a program therefor, allowing smoothing, improvement of efficiency and quickening, of a process. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card 10 having an I/F 11 receiving a command from an external terminal 20, and a processing part 131 performing the process according to the command received by the I/F 11 has a timer interrupt part 12 and an interrupt setting part 13 detecting that the process performed according to a command included in a real-time command by the processing part 131 is not completed within a response time limit when receiving the real-time command including the command and a response time-limit parameter and having a format similar to the other command.
