PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw superior in the sharpness, and suitably usable for cutting in a dry system and a mist system, and also for cutting of reinforced concrete and a steel material having the high bar arrangement ratio; beads used for the wire saw; and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An abrasive grain layer 4 including a diamond abrasive grain is fixed on the outer periphery of a sleeve 2. The abrasive grain layer is divided into two parts in the shaft direction, and is formed of two abrasive grain annular bodies 5 and 5. The annular bodies form an inclined part 5a on its one end side, and are arranged so that the end part side having its inclined part contacts with each other, and a groove is formed between both. These beads are provided by sintering temporary molds becoming a source of the abrasive grain annular bodies in its state, by fitting the two temporary molds in the sleeve 2 so that its inclined part is opposed, by molding mixed powder 7 mixed with the diamond abrasive grain of the abrasive grain layer and metal bond powder by cold compression.
