PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write data more surely in regard to an optical disk unit having a recordable optical disk drive. SOLUTION: An interface bridge unit (12) is connected to an optical disk drive (11) through ATAPI (21), and also connected to a computer through USB (22), so as to transfer data between the optical disk drive (11) and the computer. The interface bridge unit (12) includes: a power supply detector (13) for detecting whether power is fed from each of a plurality of power supplies connected to an optical disk drive (10); a power supply switch (14) for selecting the power supply which can feed the power to the optical disk drive (11) from among the plurality of power supplies according to the above detection result, and connecting the above selected power supply to the optical disk drive (11); and a data transfer controller (15) for modifying a condition related to the data transfer based on the above selection result.
