PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic vision supporting apparatus by which invasion of non-corresponding part among parallax images in a visual field is prevented by a compact mechanism, difference between adjustment and congestion is lessened, color aberration is lessened, shape distortion of the image is lessened and the image is expanded or reduced if necessary and thereby binocular stereoscopic vision is facilitated. SOLUTION: In the stereoscopic vision supporting apparatus provided with an image display section containing two sheets of parallax images, an optical path refraction section and an optical path shutoff section, the optical path shutoff section is provided near observer's eyes to offer only an image for a right eye to the right eye and only an image for a left eye to the left eye and apparent presence positions of the image for the right eye and of the image for the left eye are superposed by the optical path refraction section. Further the optical path refraction section is made to have double layer structure of different refractive indexes to lessen color aberration, a surface of the optical path refraction section is made to be a curved surface to lessen apparent shape distortion of the image, the surface of the optical path refraction section is made to be a lens surface to expand or reduce apparent size of the image and thereby binocular stereoscopic vision is facilitated.
