PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound optical function type element with which the time for assembly and adjustment to an optical module etc., can be shortened. SOLUTION: The compound optical function type element is constituted by joining optical element 21 and 23 having refracting power to each of the incident surfaces and exit surfaces of dielectric multilayer film filters 22 which are disk-shaped optical function elements having circular apertures over the entire area of the apertures of the dielectric multilayer film filters 22. Also, the external form thereof is spherical. Optical function elements consisting of absorption type polarizers, reflection type polarizers and Faraday rotators, etc., can also be used in place of the dielectric multilayer film filters 22.
