PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation, concentration or sample preparation method for prion protein which is usable for a sensitive prion protein measurement by an easy means in a general facility for study/diagnosis of prion disease. SOLUTION: This method comprises a process for working a protein coagulating material to a sample containing prion protein and a process of solubilizing the coagulated protein are performed, whereby separation, concentration and sample preparation of a protein (prion protein or the like, and virus or the like) are performed.
