PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for circuit operation for offset canceling. SOLUTION: The second switch network 20 is connected between a Hall element HAL and an input terminal of an error amplifier AMP1, and the third switch network 30 is connected between a voltage source Vr and the input terminal of the error amplifier AMP1. The second switch network 20 is started in the delayed state for as long as a prescribed time from start of the first period, and supplies a detection signal, generated between terminals X1, X2 of the Hall element HAL to the error amplifier AMP1, during the third period finished simultaneously with the first period. The third switch network 3 supplies a fixed voltage signal from the voltage source Vr to the input terminal of the error amplifier AMP1 and the terminal pair X1, X2 connected to the input terminal via the second network 20, during a prescribed time shorter than a duration of the third period, from the start of the third period, to thereby forcibly charge/discharge a stray capacitance.
