PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting table for performing measurement or working while changing attitude of a workpiece even if it is beyond the measuring range of a measuring instrument or the working range of a working machine. SOLUTION: This mounting table comprising a mounting surface for thereon mounting the workpiece which is a measuring or working object, has a structure equipped with a supporting means and a plurality of references. The supporting means supports the mounting table in such a manner that it is liftable from a level block in order to cause it to be movable or turnable on the flat-finished level block, or supports the mounting table fixedly on the level block. The references are used for measuring the mounting table in a plurality of postures to detect the position and turn of the mounting table in the respective postures. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
