PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a flange member 1 from distortion when a flange-fitted shaft member is manufactured through such processes that a pipe work is fitted in a hole formed in the flange member 21 with the end protruded from the hole, and in this condition, the pipe work is bulged diametrically through electromagnetic forming, followed by joining together of the two. SOLUTION: The flange member formed from aluminum alloy through an extrusion process is composed of an outer region 31, an inner region 32, and a step 33, wherein the front face of the outer region serves as a mounting surface for another member as the mating party, while the inner region is furnished with a ridge 34 to thicken the area. The shaft member 25 is enlarged diametrically on the inside of the hole to be put in tight attachment and secured to the inside surface of the hole, and its portion protruding to the front of the hole is spread to form a shaft flange 26, while the portion to the rear of the hole is swollen out to form an overhung part 27, and the flange member is pinched between the shaft flange and the overhung part 27. The ridge increases the stiffness of the inner region, and the inner region manages without distortion even if the shaft member is pressed strongly to the inside surface of the hole at the time of electromagnetic forming.
