METHOD FOR DEPOSITING AND RETRIEVING DIGITAL RECORDS

A novel service provides a facility for depositing data indicative of at least one digital record such as a digital image belonging to a user, by receiving data representative of the digital record, depositing the received data in a deposit storage device coupled to a deposit station. The received data is deposited in association with identification data. The deposit station is coupled to an information center so as to permit redirection of the deposited data to a retrieval station that is remote from the deposit station.
