The rolling shutter door (1) has a curtain (3) of a flexible non-metal material covering a door opening (2) and with one end of an upper first section fastened to a retaining rod over the whole width of the door, and one end of a lower second section fastened on a transverse rod. A roll-up device (10) powered by a motor (11) is movably mounted and rotatable in a guide track. The other end of the curtain sections are each fastened on the roll-up device so that during rotation of the roll-up device both sections of the curtain are rolled up and down in opposite directions to one another.
