摘要 <p>A process for producing a catalytic body, in which a catalyst is electrodeposited on a support surface in an electrolytic bath containing catalyst ions. In particular, there is provided a process for producing an alumite catalytic body, wherein in an electrodeposition apparatus comprising an electrolytic bath accommodating an aqueous solution in which a catalyst is dissolved, the electrolytic bath having, disposed therein, a support whose surface is furnished with an Al2O3 coating, the support on at least one major surface thereof furnished with an electrode, the catalyst is electrolytically borne on the support surface. The most characteristic feature of this process is that the electrolytic bearing of the catalyst is carried out at a current density of 0.1 to 50 A/m&lt;2&gt;. In this process, advantageously, not only can a catalytic body having high activity despite a small amount of catalyst borne be obtained but also the time required for catalyst bearing can be minimized. Furthermore, in an immersion process, there is another advantage that it is not needed to add essential ammonia to an aqueous solution of catalyst, thereby enabling avoiding of adverse effect on environment.</p>
