<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the rotating operations of three axes or more and the changeover of different processing functions just by a mouse and to improve the operability of a medical image display device. <P>SOLUTION: The medical image display device is provided with a pointing device for indicating an optional point on the screen of a display means by pressing a button as an input means. Different kinds of processing functions are allocated to a plurality of areas (a), b and c for which the display screen 200 of a picked-up image is divided by a prescribed division pattern.
