<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synchronizing mobile stations in a more accurate mobile communication system wherein the influence of noise or interference is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system wherein a mobile station detects a signal transmitted from a base station and a synchronizing channel is periodically multiplexed on a downstream signal for synchronizing the detected signal, the mobile station averages a correlation value 201 of the synchronizing channel with the same phase while keeping a complex number for a plurality of cycles, then makes the correlation value into power and performs peak detection. If the synchronizing channels are being alternately transmitted from two antennas in the case of averaging, correlation values estimated to be transmitted from the same antenna are averaged, thereby outputting the correlation value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
