GAS TURBINE ENGINE ASSEMBLING METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable stator vane assembly to be used for a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: The variable vane assembly 44 for the gas turbine engine 10 comprises a casing 50 and a variable vane 52 having a radial inside spindle 70 and a radial outside spindle 54. The radial inside and outside spindles are constructed to rotatably join the vane into the gas turbine engine. At least one of the radial inside and outside spindles has at least one groove 80 formed therein and including at least one machined face 86 and a retainer 180 engaging with at least one machined face of the groove to tightly join the variable vane into the gas turbine engine.
