PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device rapidly melting fat and oil and preventing influence of wind or drop of outside temperature from directly lowering melting efficiency, in a heating device for heating and melting solidified fat or oil such as lard oil. SOLUTION: An outer shell part excluding the side of a terminal part 4 of a heating element 1 comprising a sheathed heater and the like is covered with an aluminum casting 2 in a flat shape, and the aluminum casting 2 is so structured as to have a shape gradually pointed toward a tip part 3 on the side opposite to the terminal part 4 side. The aluminum casting 2 is reduced in weight by forming thin parts 12 by reducing the thickness of parts between sheathed heater pipes of the heating element 1 by means of thinning.
