GASKET FOR EXHAUST MANIFOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for an exhaust manifold capable of suppressing the falling of an oil leaking and dripping from a clearance between a cylinder head and a head cover onto the hot portion of an engine under the cylinder head and the head cover. SOLUTION: This gasket 28 for the exhaust manifold comprises a gasket body and a gutter part 37. The gasket body is held by the cylinder head 15 of the engine 11 and the exhaust manifold 25 fitted to the outer wall surface 15A of the cylinder head 15. The gutter part 37 is formed integrally with the upper end part of the gasket body, and disposed in the entire area of a space S1, where the head cover 24 on the cylinder head 15 and the exhaust manifold 25 are in proximity to each other, in the cylinder arrangement direction of the engine 11. The cross sectional shape of the gutter part 37 in a surface orthogonal to the cylinder arrangement direction is a roughly V-shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
