PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a whole resistance value, keep applied voltage low, and achieve a power saving of a snow-melting tile which is provided with heater wires on its back. SOLUTION: Heaters 2, 2a having at least a U-shaped heater wire 4 at its head are inserted and mounted on housing parts 3, 3a formed at a tile body 1. Since adjacent heaters 2, 2a are connected in series by lead wires 5, 5a, it is required only to house each heater 2, 2a so that the heater wire 4 of a required length is arranged at a required part of the housing parts 3, 3a. Thus, the length of the heater wire 4 of high electrical resistance can be reduced as much as possible, although the heater wire becomes a meandering state as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
