PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing electrically conductive paper exhibiting high electrical conductivity and sufficient paper strengths. SOLUTION: The method for producing the electrically conductive paper comprises the step of integratedly compounding natural fibers with an electrically conductive polymer followed by beating and the step of subjecting the resultant electrically conductive natural fiber-containing electrically conductive fibers to wet papermaking. In this method, the beating operation is carried out until the freeness comes to about 300-600 mL. The electrically conductive paper thus obtained has significantly high electrical conductivity compared to conventional electrically conductive paper because of no use of much binder such as thermofusible synthetic fiber.
