PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet temperature control method in the case of continuously annealing a still sheet by which the deviation from the reference of the sheet temperature caused in the changing part of the annealing condition between the preceding steel sheet and the following steel sheet or in the operational stationary state can be minimized. SOLUTION: In a continuous annealing method for steel sheet in a gas-heating type continuous annealing furnace, in the case of changing the heating load for steel sheet caused by some reason, for reducing the deviation from the target sheet temperature in the condition changing portion developed in the existing furnace having slow responsiveness, this annealing condition is changed into the changing rate of the steel plate temperature needed to heating in a facility having quick responsiveness at the inlet of the facility from the input calory remaining ratio (temperature rising ratio) introduced from the sheet temperature at the outlet side in the predicted facility, sheet passing-through speed, steel sheet size and the other operational conditions and set to the facility having quick responsiveness as the input calory needed to change the heating condition.
