<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of minimizing the down time. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a fixing unit, composed of a heating means and a temperature detection means; a temperature control means for controlling the temperature of the fixing unit by controlling the heating means, on the basis of contents detected by the temperature detection means; and a warning issuing means for issuing a warning, when a temperature detected by the temperature detection means, after temporarily detecting a temperature higher than a third temperature among a previously determined first temperature, a second temperature higher than the first temperature and the third temperature which is higher than the second temperature is higher than the first temperature and becomes lower than the second temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
