摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for improving the responsiveness of a vehicular belt continuously variable transmission during sudden down-shift. SOLUTION: The hydraulic control device for the belt continuously variable transmission comprises at least one of shift control hydraulic pressure chambers PC1, PC2 for changing the groove width of a pulley on a primary side and two hydraulic pressure chambers PCI, PCO for generating tension control belt clamping force on a movable sheave on a secondary side. In predetermined operating conditions, operating oil is drained from one hydraulic pressure chamber PCO of the two hydraulic pressure chambers on the secondary side. During sudden down-shift in the predetermined operating conditions, operating oil is supplied from the shift control hydraulic pressure chambers PC1, PC2 on the primary side to one hydraulic pressure chamber PCO.
